Steadfast Patient Endurance
The Lord said, "You have need of steadfast, patient endurance." Not some song and dance. Patience to run the race. Thank God for His mercy and grace. Although I will have to admit. I've had to stop to just rest and sit. A moment to cast off every burden and every easily besetting sin. So I can stand up and patiently run the race again. To keep going I must look to the author and finisher of my faith. He, Jesus, is writing my race's story. Knowing that in the end, it will all be to His glory. It's a race that has a glorious end. To heaven, me, He will send. To run the race with steadfast, patient endurance, it will bring the victors crown. To run this race with such nobility, I cannot afford foolish futility. Steadfast, patient endurance is the key. A never give up attitude, it's clear to see. "Therefore, I cannot fling away my fearless confidence, For it carries a great and glorious compensation of reward. For I have need of steadfast, patience and endurance, so that I may perform and fully accomplish the will of God, and thus receive and carry away and enjoy to the full what is promised" In this race I will look away from what distracts, and look to Jesus. For by looking to Him, I will not lose heart or grow weary or exhausted. Yes indeed, I have need of steadfast, patient endurance.
